So... just so that we don't get in trouble or anything... here's the lowdown on who is running this blog...

Now to the fun stuff:




Name is Maria P.  I am a Licensed Zumba Instructor in the Charlotte/Concord and surrounding areas.  The ZumbaChickas are my ZIN familia.  I teach with Jill R. and Angela A. in Concord, NC.  So why some of the anonymity? Yea I want to protect my identity a bit - you never know what kind of crazies are out there.  And those of you who need to know about who we are, already know us.

Music - File sharing is strictly forbidden... so please don't ask for us to give you music.  No can do.  Refer to the "Get Groovin" page for a list of songs that are commonly done in class. 

By no means are your instructors fitness experts.  Please consult your doctor before and during your wellness journey for any questions you have, especially questions regarding pain in your joints.  If you have questions about food and calorie intake, also consult your doctor.  Do not think the web is a know all.  As I always say, and will keep saying - we are all unique.  What is true for one may not be true for the other.  So be cautious with your body or it will turn on you.

Zumba alone will not get you to where you are going.  Please be sure to eat healthy according to your health needs, but to also take in enough calories and water to supplement your workouts.
